Humble Bundle finally gives you a choice
Hi there.
If, like me, you’ve been a subscriber of Humble Bundle either currently, or in the past, you’ll have probably had a bit of frustration with the service due to being ‘dumped’ a heap of titles you’ll simply never get to play, just trying to find that elusive indie title you’ve always wanted, or to score an AAA big name for less than a quarter of its usual asking price.
Well, wonder no longer as Humble Bundle has changed its offering and now calling itself ‘Humble Choice’.
This definitely differs from the previous plan in that you can now view the games before committing to the plan for the month, a welcome change I must say. With that however comes some different pros and cons to the last bundle, the least of which is the price increase. Whilst not a huge fan of increasing the price, it really isn’t all that much and if you were a subscriber to the original service, then there’s no price increase at all.
For those looking to join up who may have had their service lapse in the past, or simply be new to the humble bundle, there are 3 differing degrees of subscription offering various value. The entry level plan isn’t much, however the basic and premium plans offer you a way to pay what you want to get what you want.
With the opportunity to now view what’s actually in the bundle now instead of it being a surprise, this now leaves you with the option taking up the monthly offer, or suspending your subscription for the month and passing over to see what will come in the next month.
Just another way to give you more control over the games you want to acquire and now dumping a whole bunch of games on you that you never had any intention of playing simply to try to find a diamond in the rough. This way you can make much more discerning decisions around what you want to play.
You also get some nice humble bundle freebies in the form of credits to your humble wallet, as well as 20% off selected games in the humble store which is a pretty neat little bonus in itself if you are a prolific game buyer like me.
If you want to learn more, check out this more detailed review I found which explains the changes in more detail.
Peace out.
